NINGALOO ADVENTURE (WHALE SHARKS OR HUMPBACK WHALES)

About the day:

Your full-day adventure begins at 7:15am when you meet at our shop for check-in and gear collection. We’ll provide everything you need for the day, including snorkelling equipment and wetsuits, before making our way to the jetty where your vessel awaits.

Our first stop is a guided snorkel on the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef. Here you’ll drift over colourful coral gardens alive with reef fish, graceful turtles, curious reef sharks, and gliding stingrays — a perfect introduction to the wonders of this pristine ecosystem.

After morning tea on board, it’s time to head out beyond the reef in search of the day’s main encounter. With the help of our spotter plane, we’ll locate either whale sharks or humpback whales — depending on which species is most suitable to swim with. Once we’re in position, you’ll have the rare chance to enter the water and witness these gentle giants up close, an awe-inspiring moment that will stay with you forever.

Back on board, enjoy a freshly prepared buffet lunch as we cruise the turquoise waters of Ningaloo. In the afternoon, we’ll stop for another snorkel at a new site. This may be another coral-rich reef or, if conditions allow, a chance to encounter majestic manta rays as they glide effortlessly through the water.

Throughout the day, you’ll be looked after by our passionate and experienced crew, who are dedicated to your safety, comfort, and creating the best possible wildlife encounters. This tour offers a full day of adventure, combining world-class snorkelling with the unforgettable opportunity to swim alongside whale sharks or humpback whales in their natural environment.

• Direct radio communication between the spotter plane pilot and our skipper providing us the best possible opportunity to see the whale sharks or humpback whales!

• Additional snorkels stops on the reef gives you the opportunity to see as much marine life as possible

• A knowledgeable and passionate crew is composed of rescue divers, dive masters and/or instructors

Additional Information:

An in-water interaction attempt is defined as entering the water with the intent of swimming/snorkelling with humpback whale(s) or whale shark(s). If we cannot attempt an in-water interaction with either a humpback whale or whale shark a refund of the difference between "Humpback Whale swimmer" and "Snorkeller" will be issued. For example: "Adult Humpback Swimmer" price is $625 but we cannot attempt in-water interaction with either a humpback whale or whale shark we would refund $200 which would bring the price paid down to the price of an "Adult Snorkeller" $425. We do not offer any repeat vouchers, full refunds, credits, or gift cards in the event of us not being able to attempt an in-water interaction with a humpback whale or whale shark. No partial refunds will be issued for change of mind from a humpback swimmer to a non-humpback swimmer as these are positions we could have sold to other participants

IMPORTANT: 

This tour is recommended for experienced snorkellers only. If your snorkelling ability is not at a satisfactory or safe standard during the morning snorkel you may not be permitted to partake in in-water humpback whale interactions, if this is the case a refund of the difference between "Swimmer" and "Observer" will be issued.

Participant age definitions:

Adults - Ages 17 & older

Children - Ages 5-16 (Swimming with whale sharks or humpback whales)

Infant - Ages 0-5 (NOT swimming with whale sharks or humpback whales)

Observer - any age

All children must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during tours. This may limit the amount of time a parent or guardian can spend in the water if the child is not swimming or snorkelling. This is particularly important on whale shark and humpback whale tours. Please contact us if have any questions regarding this. Please note that crew and staff are not able to supervise children while parents or guardians are in the water. Parents or guardians are fully responsible for the care and supervision of their children at all times, including any injuries or damages that may occur.

Cameras and GoPro's and similar are more than welcome on our tours and in the water including whale shark interactions, however, due to the nature of the humpback whale interactions the use of cameras, GoPro's or similar is NOT permitted during the humpback whale interaction(s). The onboard professional photographer is permitted to take photos during the humpback whale interactions, enjoy the experience and let them worry about taking photos.

Smoking including the use of electronic cigarettes and/or vapes is strictly prohibited on any/all of our vessels.
